Nightfall max scythe?
Where can I locate the best scythe in the Nightfall missions? By "best", I mean max damage, and stats, it doesn't have to be a zealous, although that would be nice. I know of the one at Drok's, but I want to beat Nightfall prior to doing prophecies with this guy.

Errr.
Not sure what you mean but I think I do.
In which case.
It'll be the end-game one you get after the last mission. *Don't want to spoil with names if you haven't already completed Nightfall*

Not exactly sure what you are getting at here, but a Max Damage Scythe is 9-41 dmg. The "best" scythe depends on your build. Any Max dmg scythe with an inscription slot can be made to suit your build. If you want a Green one then I'd say one of Mallyx's would be the best/most prestigious.

i don't think there is a "best" scythe. any non-green, max damage, req 9 scythe can be modded anyway you like... you just have to have/buy the mods. collectors and weaponsmiths on the mainland trade/sell max scythes but you can get a req 9, max one from any chest drop or enemy dervish you kill.

There is no "best" weapon. There is the "ideal" weapon for a build. But there is a zealous 15^50 +30 scythe at the end of nightfall. There are some 15^50 zealous +20% enchants in nightfall.

That is why I said "best" meaning max damage (I know it's 9-41) with a good bonus or inscribable. I got one for five insect capaces from a collector on the coast, but it isn't inscribable. I am playing conservatively and earning my second rank of survivor, but I'd like a better scythe. Right now I have +15% while enchanted with 9-41 for damage. I am currently focusing on jacking up my mysticism. I just got my AL70 Sunspear armor, and have decided to jack up mysticism for the energy and health gains, since that's probably more important than 2~4 more ranks in scythe mastery for most-likely a low extra damage bonus.
So I am basically looking for a 9-41 scythe that is either inscribable or comes with one hell of a good buff. Thanks for any suggestions.

Try that link, It seems all you are looking for is a max gold scythe. naked maybe, so you can get a perfect salvage kit and try out some different mods for it.
20k gold should be more than enough to make a perfect gold scythe. That is including mods and skin. You may be able to even find one that is inscribable for that price
id recommend finding a Cruel scythe snathe that Lengthens Deep Wound duration on foes by 33% if you like [avatar of melandru] + [wearying strike] or [wounding strike]... or a Zealous snathe
And maybe a Scythe Grip of Enchanting or Fortitude
And then if you find an inscribable scythe, i have always liked the Damage +15% while enchanted

Cruel upgrade sucks.
You're a frontliner with low armor, that gets energy to spam it's skills from enchantments ending. Why would you need extra enchantments? At least not as main weapon...

That is why i recommended that he get a perfect salvage kit and try out some mods so he can decide for himself. IMO cruel snathe is very nice when you are spamming DW, I have a Cruel scythe that i use periodically and a zealous that i can switch to for energy management. I find it to be the best mods that are needed for any area.
As for frontliner with low armor? Hardly, 70AL is midline armor not low. Since i like spamming conditions anyways [armor of sanctity] really helps negate a lot of the damage dealt. Not to mention that dervs have more self defense skills than you can shake a scythe at.

IMO if you're spamming DW, you don't need to lenghthen the duration since you're quickly re-applying.
70AL is low armor for a frontliner, just watch the duration in the battlefield for Gehraz and Devona, it's like the sins henchies in Factions.
And I hope you're more of the shaking scythe type than self-protecting. Most enchantments can be re-applied when they end, Armor of Sanctity included. Other enchantments are not worth the skill slot, such as Mystic Regeneration. IMO only Heart of Fury needs a longer duration, but then many use [eternal aura] so it can be kept up most of the time anyways.

I like to use the tab key to spread the condition love around to everyone surrounding me(since a scythe only hit 3 enemies) the longer duration does offer noticeable help. especially if i bring Gwen with [extend conditions] or [epidemic] or [hypochondria]

You then spend energy and hero usage on something you can spam every 6-8 seconds (less if running Wounding Strike).
Conditions in PvE aren't that important except for four; DW is there to finish the kill, Weakness that can be easily applied by a necro, daze that is a costly condition and IMO the only worth spreading and lenghtening (silencing mod of course, no need of waste skill slot) and blind which will most likely work on about half of PvE and has a short duration.
And you spend time running to spread the love from mob A to mob B which is time you aren't spending on dealing damage, and this is just wasted potential.

I brought an [extend conditions] Mez along with a water hex Ele along with a 6 hero [discord] team and all i can say is "nice"
this is what the 8 man team looked like. Its the best [[discord] team i have ever ran
[extend conditions] energy leech
[elemental attunement] water hex
[virulence] minion bomber
[discord] N/Rt
[discord] N/Rt
[discord] N/mo
[discord] N/mo
[discord] N

it seems that the virulence necro would be a waste in that build. by the time you've used virulence, the taget should be dead from all the discord spam. honestly you should probably just run another copy of discord or maybe [[tainted flesh], [[jagged b], or [[icy veins]

Don't people just run Discord teams with AP + You Move Like a Dwarf + Finish Him on the player(s)? Necros carry Putrid Explosion/Bile and some defense. You really don't need to spread conditions/hexes to multiple enemies because Discord is single-target anyway. Bind the hero skill command keys for clean spikes.

Ya, ive kind of discovered that. It still helps a bit as it seems to handicap the rest of the enemies while all heroes focus [[discord] spike on one enemy. The Aoe Hex and condition do not offer much support for [[discord] but it is still conforting to know that i can easily tab to any pesky enemy and call out [[discord] on it to have it die instantly at any time without having to prep it with condition and hex first (a couple condition/hex remover monk or mez enemies would be the only exception) but aoe condition and hex keeps them occupied anyways. And i keep the <9>,<0> and <-> key macro'ed to skill slot one on each hero.

[[jagged b] is what i usually run on my minion bomber, i was just playing with other variations to see how much debuff i could throw out.

You're not looking for the 'best scythe', because there isn't one. All you need is a 15^50 inscrip, sundering scythe snathe, and enchant +20%. Get an inscribable scythe skin that you like, and there's a perfect generic scythe to use on a derv.
I recommend a Clockwork Scythe with those parts. Looks niiice. ^^

Sundering mods are greatly overrated. If you're in it for damage, go with vampiric, but otherwise utility stuff like zealous or even elemental snathes (so you can use them with conjure skills without needing a damage-converting enchantment) work better.
Also, for a dervish 15% while enchanted can be a viable choice for an inscription, although in PvP at least 15^50 does tend to be better.
